Call Ohio Utilities Protection Service (it's the LAW!)

If you are planning to rent equipment to do some digging (ex: post hole digger, trencher, excavator, backhoe etc.), you should contact the OUPS at least 48 hours before you start your digging. It's Ohio Law.

If you fail to contact OUPS, and you do hit a utility line, you are financially responsible for the repairs of the utility and subject to a fine under Ohio law.
